I am
looking for those that served in C Co, 1/23rd INF, 2nd ID from
June 1969 thru July 1970 at Blue Lancer Valley. I was there when
my Platoon Sergeant was killed on a tower in the DMZ and when
two cooks were ambushed and shot in the head. Another incident is a radiomen
who fell off a rope bridge crossing a mountain valley during a
combined battalion exercise south of the Imjin River. I remember
these names: CAPT. Steven Bayshure, SGT. David Gadsden (S.
Carolina), and SGT. Floyd Thomas (W. Virginia). I need proof
that these incidents occurred. |

Seeking
information about a search operation that took place in the
spring of 1954 but could have occurred in late 1953. The
operation involved an airborne unit and originated out of Wonju.
The operation was to terminate at a scheduled coastline rendezvous
point but failed to occur. In its alternate return route
the unit was involved in a firefight that occurred in the DMZ
area causing fatalities. A soldier named Jim Hill,
and possibly a Capt. Thomas Quigley, were involved. |
